Senior Data Strategist, "The beauty of working within a consultancy is that there are no 'typical days'."

At CBC since:
October 2017

Magister Artium in Sociology and Philosophy

Currently my focus area is:
Leveraging big data to reduce working capital by improving forecasting

How relevant to your work is your undergraduate major?
There are three major points that I will always use from my education statistics, analytical thinking and the ability to handle, understand and communicate very abstract concepts.

What is the most important lesson you learned so far?
In my professional life I learned gradually to adapt a stoic perspective and worry less about things I cannot control.

Please describe how a typical day in a project looks like:
The beauty of working within a consultancy is that there are no "typical days". Specifically as someone working at the forefront of digitalization, every day is vastly different. From having days that are spend in solitude programming to organizing workshops and committing  vast groups of people to a common cause.

What motivates you?
I have a restless mind, which motivates me to try and learn new things.

What is the wisest thing anyone has ever told you?
It is impossible to identify the "wisest thing". But here is a quote I really like:
"Convictions are more dangerous foes of truth than lies.” – Nietzsche
